In a Hurry

My father is buried in Virginia and that is so far away I hardly ever get to go there, much less visit his grave site. But I have lots of photographs and great memories of my father, so I don’t regret that too much.
I do regret that I never got to say “goodbye” to him before he died. I was going to visit him in the hospital in the afternoon after I got off work, but my brother called me at 5:00 in the morning and told me that he had just passed away.
That was hard to deal with, but I guess we don’t get to have much say in when we die, so we have to learn to deal with it the best we can.
One of my friends from back in my school days has started her own blog. I found out about it when I started Googling friends names and found hers listed.
My friend’s name is Elise Crandell and she is a real sweetheart. If you like to read about a stay at home mom with adorable children, and the different things that are important to her, then I’m sure she would love to have you read her posts.
We all knew her as “Missy,” but it looks like after we got out of school she took back Elise as her name. But you know, in my heart, she’ll always be “Missy” to me.
It is very hard to be a casual coupon user. If you don’t spend a lot of time and attention on collecting and sorting the coupons, you have the problem of good coupons expiring before you can redeem them.
My biggest downfall is that I don’t always have the right coupon at hand when I need it. Sometimes I leave piles of coupons on my desk and don’t have them with me when I end up in a store for my shopping. Then the coupon can have the opposite effect of the desired one – if I know I have a coupon but not with me, then I avoid buying that product because I feel I will be paying too much for it.
“Are you kidding? Mother issues bought me a beach house.”
That was a line on the TV show, “The New Old Christine” with her brother and his psychiatrist. Her brother wants to become a psychiatrist and has to meet with one during his training. She was talking with him about how everyone has “issues.”
I think that opinion, if true among psychiatrists, is very self serving.
